Affiliations

As of December 2013, Laura was honoured with an appointment to the Board of Directors for Canada Without Poverty, serving as their Ontario representative. She currently sits as the Board’s President. In 2016, she accepted a nomination to sit on the Board of Governors for the Hamilton Community Foundation.

Ms. Cattari is Senior Policy Analyst at the Hamilton Roundtable for Poverty Reduction. She formerly sat on it’s Operational Steering committee and was Chair of the Social Policy Reform work group.

Laura was also received an appointment to Ontario’s Ministry of Community and Social Services – Income Security Reform Work Group and former Chair of Hamilton Status of Women Committee.

Laura has sat on Hamilton Skills Development Flagship, Councillor Matthew Green’s Payday Loans Advisory, Hamilton Women’s Leadership Summit, Advisory Committee (2012, 2013, 2014), as well as, advisory to One Billion Rising, Hamilton campaign (2014) and Temple Anshe Sholom’s Board of Directors, part of it’s communication, ritual and social justice committees (2011 – 2014).

Other advocacy initiatives include: Fair Elections Act Community Forum, Hamiltonians for Ward Boundary Reform – Co-Chair, Canadian Social Action Committee for Reform Judaism, Staircase Theatre Education Program – Board Treasurer and Outreach Co-Coordinator.
